With current developments in mobile technology it was only a matter of time before a company utilized this market gap and developed a poker room specifically for iPhone and iPad users. Switch Poker is now trying to be this poker room.
What is Switch Poker offering?
Because the site and the software is pretty new there is only a No-Limit Holdem Ring Game (6-seat) available. At the moment we are reviewing this room there are no more than 12 players active, so there is some marketing left for Switch Poker. Like stated this software is available for the new apple generation, to be exact it is tested for:
- iPad
- iPhone 3G (no sound)
- Firefox v3.6.8 or higher
- Chrome v5.0 or higher
- Safari v5.0 or higher
- Opera v10.60 or higher
- Internet Explorer v8 (No sound. Compatability mode should be turned off.)
- Internet Explorer v9
Software
Because Switch Poker is a flash poker client there is no need for installing any software. This makes getting started at Switch Poker quick and easy. The flash interface is however not looking very professional, it is simple and too basic for a poker client. There are very little options (only sound on or off) and the general looks and feel are bad. Perhaps when you consider it to be a free iPoker App you might be a bit more happy with the overall result, comparing it to “professional” poker software Switch Poker still has a long way to go.
